This website was created on behalf of North Sea Port in collaboration with Infrabel and ProRail in the context of the Rail Ghent Terneuzen project. The Rail Ghent–Terneuzen project is a joint initiative of North Sea Port, Infrabel and ProRail, aimed at improving the rail connection between the Netherlands and Belgium. This website informs the public about the progress, planning and impact of the project.

We process the following personal data: the IP address and necessary cookies. This is in the context of the security and proper functioning of the website (legitimate interest).

How do we obtain this data?

  • Either based on the choices you have made and that have been saved with consent (for example language preference)
  • Based on passively collected data, such as click behaviour and the pages visited, insights can be obtained into the use of the website.

The analytical data is stored aggregated for 3 years.

  • The parties involved in the project: Prorail (Netherlands) and Infrabel (Belgie).
  • The service providers who help with the technical setup: Lievens Communicatie B.V. (Netherlands) and 10uur B.V. (Netherlands).
  • The cookie permissions are collected via Cookiebot (Denmark).
  • The analytical data is processed with Google Analytics (U.S.).

Transfer of personal data

Given that Google is a U.S. party, there is theoretically a possibility that the data is consulted from the United States. This risk is currently considered acceptable due to Google's membership under the Data Privacy Framework. (https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/ ). North Sea port has concluded the necessary processing agreements.

The data is stored for 3 years after processing your question.

  • The service providers who help with the technical set-up: Lievens Communicatie and 10uur.
  • The mailbox is hosted by Combell nv

Name, e-mail address, country, consent.

How do we obtain this data?

From the data subject via the registration form.

How long do we store this data?

The data is is actively used as your consent remains valid.. If you withdraw your consent, your e-mail address will be used to prevent you from receiving e-mails in the future.

Who do we share this data with?

  • The parties involved in the project: Prorail and Infrabel.
  • The service providers who help with the technical set-up: Lievens Communicatie and 10uur.
  • The newsletter is sent with Campaign MonitorCampaign Monitor Pty Ltd.
